    Hello Lakshay,

Admission confirmations at IGNOU often take some time because each application goes through document verification at the Regional Centre before enrollment numbers are issued. Since you submitted your application on July 15, 2025, received the acknowledgment on August 1, 2025, and it is still showing as “Fresh Application” as of mid-September, it means your admission is still under review.

    What you should do next:

    1. Keep Checking the Admission Status Portal:
Visit IGNOU Admission Status regularly using your Control Number or Enrollment details. Your status will update once the Regional Centre approves your admission.

    2. Follow Up with Regional Centre (Delhi-1):
Since your email has not been answered, try calling the Regional Centre directly. If possible, visit the centre in person with your Control Number and application acknowledgment. This often speeds up the process.

    3. Wait for Enrollment Number:
Once your admission is confirmed, you will receive an Enrollment Number via email/SMS. Only after this, you’ll be able to download your ID card and access other student services.

    4. Timeline:
On average, it takes 4–6 weeks after acknowledgment for confirmation, but during heavy admission cycles, it may take a little longer.

Since you applied on July 15, 2025 and received the acknowledgment on August 1, 2025, the delay is still within the normal processing timeline, but it can sometimes stretch longer depending on the volume of applications at your Regional Centre.

    What You Should Do:

    1. Check Admission Status Online:
Visit the official portal: IGNOU Admission Status and check whether your enrollment number has been generated.

    2. Wait for Confirmation Mail/SMS:
IGNOU will send you an official confirmation along with your enrollment number once your admission is approved. Keep checking your registered email ID and SMS.

    3. Follow Up with Regional Centre:
Since you have already emailed Delhi-1 Regional Centre, try calling them directly or, if possible, visit the centre in person. This often speeds up the process.

    4. Keep Record of Control Number:
Your control number (from the application form) is important, so keep it safe while following up.

To check your IGNOU Admission Status, you need to use your Enrollment Number (once it is generated). The admission confirmation process usually takes a few weeks after the application submission.

    What You Can Do:

Check Status Here: Visit the official admission status link: IGNOU Admission Status 2025

If your enrollment number has been generated, you will be able to see your admission details.

If Enrollment Number Not Yet Generated:

Wait for confirmation from your Regional Centre, as the admission team first verifies documents and then allots enrollment numbers.

Keep checking your registered email and SMS regularly for updates.

Contact Regional Centre: If it has been more than 4–6 weeks since you submitted your application and still no enrollment number is allotted, contact your Regional Centre directly through email or phone. You can also visit in person for faster assistance.

    Dear Lakshay,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the status of your admission application for the July 2025 session. I understand your concern as the admission confirmation process sometimes takes longer than expected. Based on the details you shared, here are a few important points and steps you can take:

    1. Admission Status on Portal:
If the admission portal is still showing “Fresh Application,” it usually means that your documents are still under verification at the Regional Centre level. This process often takes time, especially during peak admission months when a large number of applications are being reviewed.

    2. Follow-Up with Regional Centre:
Since you applied under RC Delhi-1 and already sent an email on September 15, you may also try the following:

      • Call the Regional Centre directly during office hours. Most RCs provide telephonic support for admission-related issues.

      • If possible, visit the Regional Centre in person with a copy of your application form, acknowledgment email, and fee payment proof. This often speeds up the verification process.

    3. Check Central Admission Updates:
You can also raise a ticket through the IGNOU Admission Helpdesk:

      • Visit: https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/

      • Log in using your control number and registered credentials.

      • Use the “Help/Query” option to submit your issue directly to the admission team.

    4. Keep Documents Ready:
Ensure that the scanned copies of documents you uploaded (marksheets, ID proof, category certificate if applicable, and photograph/signature) are clear and valid. Sometimes delays occur when documents are blurred or not as per the required format, and the RC waits for rectification.

    5. Be Patient with Processing:
It is common for IGNOU admissions to take up to 6–8 weeks for confirmation, especially when applications are received close to the closing date. Since your acknowledgment was received on August 1, 2025, the admission confirmation may still be under process.

    Recommended Next Steps:

    • Call or visit RC Delhi-1 directly for quicker resolution.

    • Raise a ticket via the IGNOU Samarth Admission Portal.

    • Keep checking your admission status regularly at: https://ignou.samarth.edu.in/.
